Further Information for High Priestess Candidates

The High Priestess Council The Board of the OWM Ordination Council

Sequence of Application Process:

When your application is received and accepted, your payment for this course will be processed. New ministerial candidates will be admitted for studies once a quarter after the board business for that quarter has been completed. Candidates waiting to be admitted will be assigned a mentor to begin informal work before their formal studies start.
You shall then be given access to the High Priestess Council (HPC) yahoo group and sent the link to your first lesson from the Ordination Council. All subsequent links shall be given to you after you post each lesson.

Posting Lessons:

In levels 1 through 3, you communicated privately, one-on-one with your teacher and you were given the option of posting your lesson to your schools group once your instructor had responded to it. In Level 4, you shall be posting directly to the group; your lessons are submitted to the whole HP Council to review. This is so that all members of the HP and Ordination council may get to know you better. It is also so that you will get to know members in the HPC, as your lesson may be responded to by more than one High Priestess and/or Ordination Council member.

Level 4 lessons are designed to prepare you to handle situations that might come your way as a High Priestess; they are a process of you clarifying your voice and your position as a High Priestess and the HP Council is there to witness and guide you to explore deeper if need be. You may be asked clarifying questions, and it is expected that you respond to the best of your ability so that your journey is enhanced and balanced. We all have confidence in you to do a great job and that's why you're here.

Once you have posted your lesson to the HP group, you will be sent the link to your next lesson in a timely manner by a member of the Ordination Council.

HPS Candidate Mentoring:

Upon your acceptance in Level IV you shall receive a mentor. This mentor will be a member of the High Priestess Council, but not a member of the Ordaining Council. Your mentor's primary duty is to assist you in making the transition into the HPS portion of our online community. The purpose of this temporary mentorship is to help you navigate through the yahoo group list, which is quite filled with past-present- and future possibilities, and to find a way to make the Order of the White Moon community as useful as possible to you. Communication is essential in our community, and especially on the yahoo groups as it lends to your involvement with some helpful aspect of the order.

The High Priestess Council:

Upon joining the HP Council group, you will be privy to the inner workings of the Order of the White Moon. This is a private group of ordained ministers and often the material posted in here is of a sensitive nature; we ask for your commitment in keeping such information private. Even though at this point you are a student of Level 4, your input is invaluable. We highly encourage your participation in discussions.

The Board of the OWM:

The Order conducts legal business on a separate list. Not all members of the High Priestess Council are members of the OWM Board of Directors; often there will be cross-posts in order to seek out the HP Councils prayerful guidance and opinions on spiritual, legal and mundane matters. You may request access to this group by posting a request to the HPC group. As a potential future member of the board of directors, it is to your benefit and the order's that you become aware of its methods.

The Ordaining Council of the OWM:

The Ordaining Council is comprised of the President, along with the VP and Assistant VP’s for Ordination. The Ordination Council shall be reading all Level IV student lessons and making an effort to get to know each new ministerial candidate personally. They will carefully examine the character and the qualifications of each candidate before any ordination is issued. It is the OWM Ordination Council that will vote on whether to recommend to the Board that you be ordained.
