Purification.
This powerful Aztec Goddess is revered for her sexuality as well as for being the patroness of midwives. She was thought to purify her people by devouring their wrongful doings as they confessed them on their death beds. message: "Look within and be honest with yourself. Then you will be freed."

Diana, Goddess of the Hunt
Strength.
Diana is the Roman goddess of hunting and was associated with the moon which rules the night, wild beast and women's bodies. She is depicted wearing a crescent moon over her brow. Living independently of any man she demonstrate the self-reliance and strength that lies within all women. message: "It is time to hunt for what brings you strength."

The Zorya: Guardian Goddesses
Protection.
Here is a trinity of goddesses from Russian folklore who take on the responsibility for the earth's well-being while their presence suggest the strength and authority of the Divine Feminine. As guardians of the Universe The Zorya's represent and are named after different times of the day; Morning Star; Evening Star and Midnight. message: "Be at peace. The Divine Feminine watches over you."

Nuturing.
The ancient Egyptians thought Mut helped mothers give birth to health children. She was honored as the mother of mothers as they believed that the cosmos sprang from her. For the wounds from any maternal relationships mother Mut invites us to find our own inner healing. We can't change the past but we have the ability to fulfill our own unresolved needs. message: "It is time to mother yourself. Healing awaits."

Erzulie, Goddess of Luxury
Wealth.
A Voodun goddess Erzulie is known for her love of luxury. She is also a goddess of love and is noted for her often girlish and flirty mannerism. Her traditional symbol is the heart but she is also associated with the moon and the world of the emotions. message: "Use luxury to soften your heart."

Yemanja, Holy Sea Queen
Fertility.
Yemanja is the Santerian goddess of water and the mother Goddess of her pantheon. She is said to rule over all sea creatures and she brings rain to nourish all of earth. Her waters are the waters that nurture life within a woman's womb making Yemanja her rule over human fertility as well. message: "Surrender to the flow of life. It will transport you to where you need to be."

Glispa, Goddess of Healing
Shamanism.
The Goddess Glispa brought the Navajo people the Beauty Chant. She teaches the healing force of music as its powerful vibrations and rhythms realign our spirits. Drumming is especially useful in opening a doorway to the spirit world and is used by Shamans and was imbued by Glispa as well. The vocalization of tones in chants can also bring forth a state of healing. message: "Healing powers lie within you. Use music to access them."

The Norse goddess Freyja was honored as a goddess of beauty and love, probably because of her own exquisite beauty. Within our society when beauty is compared to the necessities of life, it's is often viewed as unnecessary. But beauty is a nurturing force that plays a very important part in our true happiness. Freyja and her story reminds us of the healing powers of beauty in our lives. message: "Acknowledge the power of beauty."

Venus, Queen of Pleasure
Passion.
Venus (or the Greek Aphrodite) was the ancient Roman Goddess of love and was said to have been created from the union of sea and sky and brought to earth on a sea shell. For hundreds of years artist and poets have turned to Venus for their inspiration. She is the Goddess who inspires people to love one another passionately insuring our growth as a race. message: "Love will bring you pleasure."

Demeter, the Mother
Loss and Motherhood.
The Greek Goddess of the harvest Demeter is the mother archetype of the triple goddess. Her store serves to explain the seasons and consoles mothers everywhere. As her story goes she would know furry and grief at the loss of her beautiful daughter to the underworld. message: "Honor the divinity of your grief. Then spring will return."

Haumea, the Divine Midwife
Fertility and Birth.
The Polynesian Goddess Haumea teaches women how to have natural childbirth. Another myth states that Pele herself was born from Haumea's armpit as life was created from all of her body and not just her womb. She is also a goddess of vegetation. Haumea because of her abundance and fertility is honored as the Mother of Hawaii. message: "You will safely give birth to something powerful."

Xochiquetzal, The Flower Goddess
Happiness.
The Aztec people of Mexico believed in a flower goddess whom they called Xochiquetzal. Her sacred flower was the yellow marigold and she was known as one of the happiest of the Aztec deities. She was the Goddess of dance, music, crafts and love. Her people believed that they would spend eternity in her paradise, flower-laden gardens, when they died. message: "Take time to appreciate all of life's joys."
