Wild Card of the Week: Influences All Signs

The Emperor ~ Far Left (Held Back)

A symbol of the Patriarchal system, The Emperor represents the structure of integrated Ego and symbolizes the power of the intellect. When shifting towards reverse, the less 'kind' qualities of the Emperor become more apparent and the tendency to assert power, control and dominance lead to separation and pain. What aspects of your life are you trying to exert power over? Focus on allowing yourself to flow with the Universe and try to resist the urge to figure everything out and control the outcome to bring blessings.

Aries

Aries: March 21 - April 19

9 of Discs ~ Far Left (Held Back)

The suit of Discs grounds us in the mundane, symbolizing family, finances, affairs of the home and the sanctity of sacred spaces at home. When paired with the finality of 9, the 9 of Discs paints a picture of a solitary, spiritual practitioner who is grounded in her ability to follow her Inner Voice through obstacles, fears and traumas, despite painful events that she may face. When held back, this energy is challenged, and she has more difficulty connecting to her Higher Self. Focus on trusting yourself, Aries, and make opportunities to meditate and reconnect to your Inner Voice when feeling overwhelmed, triggered or afraid.

Taurus

Taurus: April 20 - May 20

2 of Discs ~ Left (Held Back)

2's are all about balance and when paired with the suit of Discs, the focus is on balancing and stabilizing finances, family and home affairs with other responsibilities and tasks. The backwards tilt of the card indicates that there may be difficulty navigating that balance, however, as the push and pull of maintaining equilibrium with competing responsibilities can cause conflict, anxiety and worry. Give yourself the opportunity to step away from the activity to reconnect with your boundaries, priorities and goals before making choices about how best to proceed when you start to feel overwhelmed. It will save you time and worry in the future.

Gemini

Gemini: May 21 - June 20

The Moon ~ Right (Pushed Forward)

Representing the core of ancient female mysteries, The Moon represents the feminine power of The Goddess and regeneration, the eternal cycle of 'going in and coming out again'. Navigating through the dark is part of the process, which involves meeting one's Shadow Self and fully integrating the dark shades found there. When pushed forward, this card indicates surrender to the shift in consciousness and the rise of deep awareness that surfaces from below. Allow the feelings to flow, Gemini and trust yourself to interpret the messages.

Cancer

Cancer: June 21 - July 22

The Wheel of Fortune ~ Right (Pushed Forward)

The Wheel of Fortune is a powerful card, representing fortune, fate and surrender to the flow of the Universe. Signifying a high point within an endless continuance of time, The Wheel endlessly flows through passing time as the cycles bring change, growth and transformation. With the energy pushed forward, The Wheel of Fortune brings profound shifts because of karmic return and the idea that 'what you put in, comes out again'. Trust your Inner Voice and surrender to the flow to reap the benefits of this powerful momentum.

Leo

Leo: July 23 - August 22

5 of Swords ~ Right (Pushed Forward)

When the 5 of Swords tilts right, conflict and challenges loom on the horizon. With Swords representing the airy realm of mental activity and thoughts, much of this challenge will occur in the mind with convoluted and confusing thoughts and anxieties or worries stemming from obstacles that require conflict or confrontation with strife. To pass through unscathed, focus your attention on winning your way by staying positive, dealing with challenges usefully as they arrive and trusting your Inner Voice for guidance and sage counsel.

Virgo

Virgo: August 23 - September 22

7 of Cups ~ Far Right (Pushed Forward)

7's are all about Inner Work, so when coupled with the watery suit of Cups, this card reveals deep stirrings within our emotions and the need to focus on sifting through an abundance of choices in order to move forward. Be careful not to allow the allure of fantasy and dreaminess to swallow you in the vast ocean of possibilities; focus on staying grounded within reality and make choices based on your highest vision of Truth that emanates from your Higher Self and Inner Voice.

Libra

Libra: September 23 - October 22

9 of Cups ~ Far Right/Near Inverse (Pushed Forward)

When the 9 of Cups appears, wishes, well‐being and Inner enjoyment stemming from awareness of deep emotion radiates forward to Manifest possibilities into reality. The fusion of visualization, desire and optimism becomes a unified tool to make things happen. With this card pushed so far forward towards its inverse, however, the potential of losing touch with reality becomes a possibility when blindly wishing or wanting disconnects with realistic activity that leads towards tangible goals. Wish hard, Dear Libra, but remember that Manifestation requires alignment of emotional needs and desires with physical effort and action.

Scorpio

Scorpio: October 23 - November 21

3 of Swords ~ Slight Left (Slightly Held Back)

The synthesizing energy of 3 combines with the mental suit of Swords to produce a dance of power that brings harmony through struggle. Forward motion always happens when we're able to constructively deal with adversity, so the task at hand focuses on the process of uniting all parts of our personality and mental energies towards completion of a goal, despite potential hardship. Thus, the way forward involves connecting thoughts with emotions and physical action without fear and trusting yourself to have the answer without worry or second‐guessing.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21

The Tower ~ Right (Pushed Forward)

A card signifying deep and profound change, The Tower brings massive shifts in awareness as the fire of Truth burns away all lies and falseness within existing structures and systems. This shift brings Ego death and although often painful, such is necessary to remove current foundations that no longer serve our Highest Selves and pave the way for growth and expansion beyond present limitations. When The Tower pushes forward, be prepared for massive changes that shock the status quo, but remember that such revolutions bring improvements and significant transformations towards greater prosperity and success.

Capricorn

Capricorn: December 22 - January 19

2 of Wands ~ Left (Held Back)

With 2's representing balance within the Life Fire of Wands, the 2 of Wands symbolizes the ability to harness personal power towards awakening and understanding through obstacles towards goals. The gift of 'Shakti,' or life fire, that was ignited from the Ace is released and balanced within the 2 of Wands and is now accessible to be analyzed and integrated for use by the personality. When held back, however, there may be fear, confusion or difficulty in understanding how to access and implement this personal life essence towards tackling challenges and manifesting goals. Take stock of your fears and worries, Capricorn, and consider what may be holding you back from obtaining and using your inner fire to accomplish your desires. Trust that your Inner Voice contains the answers and solutions needed to harness that flaming pyre of inner strength to progress forward.

Aquarius

Aquarius: January 20 - February 18

3 of Cups ~ Slight Left (Slightly Held Back)

The 3 of Cups is a reminder that happiness and joy is easily within reach when the personality exists within a group that openly celebrates and revels together. The synthesizing energy of 3 coupled with the watery suit of emotions to bring emotional wellness, deep understanding and forward motion through sharing and enjoying pleasure together. When tilted left, these jubilant energies are held back, and the resulting wisdom and inner knowledge is delayed or slow to emerge. What aspects of your life can be shared and enjoyed with trusted friends or those who hold similar ideals, Aquarius? In sharing pleasure and reveling in mirthful play, the 3 of Cups becomes a fountain of healing towards the infinite celebration of Love.

Pisces

Pisces: February 19 - March 20

The Hierophant ~ Slight Right (Slightly Pushed Forward)

Representing the priest of paternal, religious authority, The Hierophant embodies the spiritual authority of martial law that rules an empire. Although originally connected to the wisdom of The High Priestess, The Hierophant personifies the force of religious hierarchy that attempts to adjust others to his own prevailing beliefs. When tilted right, The Hierophant reminds us that the way forward is NOT just a reflection of conventional morality and patriarchal law, but also a functional expression of strength in the wake of societal opposition and the need to trust in our own Internal Voice when making choices and decisions that move us forward.
